Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you" or "user") and [LEGAL_BUSINESS_NAME] ("we", "us", or "WoW Toolbox"), governing your installation and use of the WoW Toolbox desktop application, related online services, the in-app Shop, and any content you download through them (together, the "Service").

By installing, launching, or using the Service you confirm that you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (Sweden's age of digital consent under lag 2018:218), or the age of digital consent in your country if higher. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter these Terms.

2. Licence to use the Application

2.1 Grant

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the WoW Toolbox application on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial development and modding activities.

2.2 Restrictions

You agree not to:

• copy, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or rent the application or any paid content;
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application except where this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
• remove or alter copyright, trademark, or attribution notices;
• use the Service to develop a competing product or to train machine-learning systems on our content without our prior written consent;
• use the Service in violation of any third party's intellectual-property or contractual rights, including those of Blizzard Entertainment.

3. Accounts

Some features of the Service require you to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [SUPPORT_EMAIL] if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Purchases, subscriptions, and donations

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and are subject to the Stripe Services Agreement. We do not store your full card details on our servers.

5. User-submitted content

If you upload content to the Shop or community library, the Contributor & Creator Agreement applies in addition to these Terms. You retain ownership of what you submit and grant us the licences described in that agreement.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• upload or distribute malware, exploits, or content that infringes third-party rights;
• harass, threaten, defame, or harm other users;
• circumvent technical access controls or security mechanisms;
• use the Service in connection with operating commercial game servers without authorisation from the relevant rights-holder;
• scrape, mass-download, or use automated tools against the Shop or community endpoints in a manner that disrupts the Service.

We may remove content and suspend accounts that breach this section, with or without notice.

7. Intellectual property

The application, the Shop catalogue, our trade marks, and our original content are owned by [LEGAL_BUSINESS_NAME] or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. World of Warcraft, Wrath of the Lich King, and related marks are the property of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. WoW Toolbox is an independent third-party development tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment.

8. Third-party services

The Service may link to or integrate with third parties (Stripe for payments, [ANALYTICS_PROVIDER_OR_NONE] for analytics, [HOSTING_PROVIDER] for hosting). We are not responsible for their practices; their own terms and privacy policies apply.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all hardware, operating systems, or game-client versions.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from or related to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) [FALLBACK_AMOUNT_USD] USD. We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility.

14. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by Swedish law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved exclusively by Stockholms tingsrätt (Stockholm District Court) as the court of first instance, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally. Consumers in Sweden may also refer disputes to Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN); consumers in the EU may use the EU ODR platform.
